The global acclaim showered from all corners and critics across the globe recognised the production brilliance and Beyoncé’s unmatched vocal prowess. For those of us who missed it live, “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” will hit the silver screen on December 1, 2023, chronicling the tour’s creation and execution. Trust Beyonce never to miss an opportunity to fully exploit her creativity and give her fans multiple opportunities to enjoy the complete experience. I predict sold-out cinema halls and watch parties. My bet is on the iconic gold costume being the Halloween favourite this year.

Its popularity even led to discussions about lifting a 57-year-old concert ban in New South Wales, potentially injecting an extra $1.3 billion into the local economy. In fact, it was noted in media outlets that Beyonce’s Renaissance actually caused a temporary artificial inflation of 9.7% in countries such as Sweden due to the surge in demand for hotels, taxis, etc. Incredible.

The entertainment industry just like so many other industries can be cutthroat, competitive, and unfortunately toxic. Sadly the case is similar for professionals in the corporate space, or perhaps you are an influencer or maybe an athlete, many of us have at one point or time worked in a space that demands you to be something you are not, or to compromise your values and standards. This is long-term bad news not just for your integrity and reputation but also for your mental wellness. Functioning with that level of pressure can negatively affect productivity and creativity. Focus on being authentic and not compromising your mental health is key even if it means you have to exit familiar spaces and give up old habits. When Beyonce acknowledged her husband including ‘ all the sh*t they have been through’ so many gasped and were astonished. The image of perfection was finally dismantled. She is human after all. Thanking everyone from her father, her former manager whom she has had a strained relationship and even the original members of Destiny’s Child felt like she was having a public and well-deserved therapy session. Finally releasing the ghosts of the past.
When all is said and done, despite rumour mills saying this might be her last concert. I feel that she is only just beginning her latest ascent into another major creative zone.
