The B. A. Agbakoba-Onyejianya Annual Legal Essay is an initiative envisioned by Mrs. Beverley Amaka Agbakoba-Onyejianya and is open to law students, law graduates, and lawyers who are one year to three years post-call, with a passion for the law profession. The essay is supported by Legal Naija.
The title of the 2024 edition was Corporate Responsibility and Data Privacy: Legal Obligations and Best Practices, with the following three prizes given to the respective winners.
1st Prize: ₦100,000.00
2nd Prize: ₦75,000.00
3rd Prize: ₦50,000.00

Oluwabusayo Ifonlaja
Winner of 1st Edition
The 2023 Edition was the first edition and the winner was Oluwabusayo Ifonlaja, a graduate of law from the Nile University of Nigeria in Abuja. Oluwabusayo was a proud recipient of a Certificate of Achievement and a ₦150,000.00 Essay Prize. This first edition had Legal Naija, as a sponsor.
